Best Sauv Blanc. Ever.

Didier Dagueneau’s wines from the Loire have an unbelievable cult following; looking at a photo of Didier, it looks like he leads a cult.

I can’t really describe this wine any better than Beaune Imports, so I’ll quote them. Would I every pay over 50 bucks for a Sauv Blanc? Absolutely. This one will age forever. The music on the label even has a story behind it. Anyhoo, back to the wine:

11.5% natural alcohol, bracing acidity and intense minerality are what keep us coming back to this bottle. The fruit is multi-layered and very complex with not a hint of underripe herbaceous notes. This shows a return to the classic-styled vintage that we’ve been thirsting for. The length of this wine is overwhelming and it’s persistance is memorable. This is Didier’s new base cuvée, and here he has shown us why he is in a league of his own.
