Another great thing about German Riesling (and Austrian Gruner) is that you can often get their wines in a 1000ml bottle instead of the normal 750 bottle. So they give you 33 1/3% free! These bottles rock. I actually couldn’t say it better than the importer of this wine:

“You should be deeply ashamed to get excellent Riesling Spätlese labeled as Kabinett and sold at Liter-wine prices.”

    DRIVING
Two elderly women were out driving in a large car – both could barely see
over the dashboard. As they were cruising along, they came to an
intersection. The stoplight was red, but they just went on through. The
woman in the passenger seat thought to herself “I must be losing it. I
could have sworn we just went through a red light.” After a few
more minutes, they came to another intersection and the light was red
again. Again, they went right through. The woman in the passenger seat was
almost sure that the light had been red but was really concerned that she
was losing it. She was getting nervous. At the next intersection,
sure enough, the light was red and they went on through. So, she turned to
the other woman and said, “Mildred, did you know that we just ran through
three red lights in a row? You could have killed us both!” Mildred turned
to her and said, “Oh, crap, am I driving?” MORE FROM halloweeen landscape

I’m a VietNam Vet that’s trying to put a site together about Agent Orange and other wicked things that happened there and still try to keep it from being Gross. I’m new at this and the site shows it. Some of the words like mesotheleomia is NOT linked to cancers associated with Agent Orange and/ormesotheleomia is NOT linked to cancers associated with Agent Orange turn people away. When I saw your Blog, I thought at least you might not erase it. You seemed to have put some thought into yours. Look at it and make up your mind if you’ll at least let it stay on yours. —Jack—

  7. Jamie, I know how to stop people from comment bombing your blog.  You can now turn on a feature in your Blogger settings to require commentors to enter a letter code displayed on the screen before leaving a comment.  This prevents most robotic tools from bombing your blog’s comment sections, and gives you more time to enjoy the Riesling.
