I have had a horrific cold/flu that has me stuffed up and with a sore throat. There have been so many great wines open around me and I can’t even enjoy them. They are like nails and battery acid on my throat. I think my ideal drink would be a hot toddy right now. So I have not had a lot to post.

I will tell you about the last great wines I drank: a 2000 and 2002 Ridge Santa Cruz Mountains. It’s a Cab/Merlot blend and if you don’t think there are great Bordeaux blends in Cali outside of Napa, you gotta try this one. The 2000 was still a monster and an infant, very hedonistic. And the 02 is available for 31 bucks retail…what a steal!
