Day Three at the International Food Blogger Conference

Wrapped up the conference drinking Dry Wit from The Pike Brewing Company poured by none other than Charles and Rose Ann Finkel. I also enjoyed a bevy of food truck offerings, my favorite being pizza from Veraci for taste and the shortness of the line. I was pleased to have a brick oven pizza with just a touch of cheese and light on the sauce; it wasn’t soggy in the middle and burnt on the outside. (A little charred is fine; burnt is not.)

If you were looking for the one session that was snark-free on the #IFBC Twitter feed, it was Food Photography led by Penny de los Santos. Check out her website to see why.

We wrapped up the conference with a special screening of Today’s Special. It was unabashedly sentimental and free of cynicism. It got a little mawkish and corny, but I found my heart melting and my eyes watering by the end. It made me think a lot about my dad, my future, and my life. OK, that’s probably more than you would care to know. Now go make friends with Today’s Special on Facebook.

So now that it’s all over, what are your thoughts about IFBC?
