I have been crying for the last year for my local Dveri-Pax connection to bring in their dry Riesling. I finally got it! My allocation was a measly six-pack, and I plan to hoard it like a miser.
What is it like? Very Alsatian, with a complex nose, rich mid-palate, and a very refreshing green apple finish. Seems like their is a tiny bit of RS, but the finish obliterates it. Truly elegant, pure, and a joy to drink.
White wines don’t get more perfect than this; I feel so very lucky to get my hands on six bottles.
Additionally, I am still in love with the label and the bottle. It’s so stylish and cool.
I presume the wine is 2005. It is also the last vintage made entirely by Erich Krutzler. He has left the vinery last autumn, and is now working on another estate.
