Mike’s Hard Lemonade

I nominate this for the worst tasting note ever. From the Executive Wine Seminars that are on the online version of the Wine Advocate:

2005 Bernkasteler Lay Riesling Kabinett (Dr. Loosen) Very light color with only the first hints of green/yellow. Soft, restrained nose displays freshness with a distinct citrus, lemony scent that recalls Mike’s Hard Lemonade. There were also notes of smoke and minerals. On the palate, this off-dry Kabinett opens nicely and was well received by our group, but it’s not showing much complexity or depth at this point. The acidity was excellent, helping give this wine some life and good length.

I would have had Ernst Loosen run out to the 7-Eleven to pick up a sixer of Mike’s so that they could be tasted side-by-side.

Although, I guess it’s good to know that these “executives” enjoy knocking back a few Mike’s. They must like to go slumming every now and then.
