Mondovino

All wine nuts should see this movie. It’s about an hour too long, and redundant, but worth seeing. It’s all about the globalization of wine and that all wines are starting to taste the same and lose their sense of place. The main villain in this documentary is Michel Rolland, who just wants to “micro-oxygenate” all wines. So the next day after seeing this movie, a coworker opens one of his wines, a Bordeaux. It’s from the property he lives on.

2000 Chateau Fontenil Fronsac

And hey, it was awesome! It kept changing and evolving hour after hour. You can’t argue with success. Link at the bottom to mondovino, and here’s one in French (duh) for Fontenil: http://www.expression-de-fronsac.com/fr/chateau-fontenil.htm
