One of the many things I love about Dabble Magazine is that my ace editor lets me get a little wild with the pairings. I can do things I dared never dream, like suggesting white wine with steak.
Yup, you read that correctly.
Well, ok the dish is actually steak in in raw form aka tartare. But still a plate full of intrigue when it comes to wine, no?
Find out the method to my madness in the latest issue:
What you need to realize when talking about weird pairings is that many of us have various allergys that do not allow us to follow the norm.
I have (developed) an extreme allergy to red wine tanines. Not by choice, I cannot even sip a red wine without 6 hours of vertigo and a migraine.
Therefore, as a somewhat serious wine drinker, I am always looking for the unusual whites to pair with what would be normally a red pairing.
An area for you to investigate.
Thom,
Thank you for your insight and perspective. Much appreciated.
Best,
Jameson
