The French: How Do They Do It?

2005 Domaine de Pajot Les Quatre Cepages

Blend: Colombard, Ugni-Blanc, Gros-Manseng and Sauvignon
Taste: Nice little bit of richness, great fruit (classic peachy/apple-y Gascogne chugger), crisp, clean
Bonus: Certified Organic! Peace.
Price: $6.99 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

What a deal! I can’t believe this wine comes all the way from France and is still so cheap!

I have had a love-affair with so many cheap whites from Gascogne:
Pouy
Cassagnoles
Colombelle

Now add the Pajot. And I *LOVE* what they say on their website:

You drink our wines because you like them; this is our first reward.

Awwww! That is so sweet! (I’m blushing!)

If you see a white wine from Gascogne, buy it.

I think this translates to: “I love you very much my American friend and your taste in wine is as fine as your palate.”
