To Bordeaux: Wine, Markets, Bicycling, and Boat Rides

Posted on: September 22nd, 2012 by

I’m leaving shortly on a media trip to Bordeaux sponsored by Planet Bordeaux (the Bordeaux & Bordeaux Supérieur Vintners’ Association). This will mark my first time in Bordeaux, home of arguably the most famous, collectible, and valuable wines in the world. But this is just a fraction of the wine produced in Bordeaux. I’m looking forward to tasting a wide range of wines at a wide range of prices. (Yes, I am hoping for some rosé!) I’ll get to see where the grapes in relation to being harvested, too. And it’s not just wall-to-wall wine on this trip. As part of getting a feel for a region we’re embarking on some non-wine excursions. Like:

  • Visiting the Outdoor Market in Créon

  • A Bicycle Ride Along the Roger Lapébie Bike Path.

  • A Boat Ride on the Arcachon Bay

      Regis,

Thank you; it’s going to be an exciting week. Heard some very loud thunder last night. Will take whatever sun I can get; looks like we’re in for some rain.

      Cheers,

      Jameson
