We had our company holiday party and there were some mind-blowing wines:

1995 Lynch-Bages
1982 Haut Brion

The Pahlmeyer blew me away the most; still has a lot of life, great Bordeaux aromas and flavors but with that plush, opulent California fruit. This is a wine equal to a great Bordeaux. Exceptional!

I also got a bottle of 1996 Palmes d’Or Champers from Feuillate. Unbelievable. Had one of the best pairings, drank it with a light chicken curry broth with ginger over rice. I haven’t drank a ton of great champers, but this is the best ever! Great bottle too; very pretty.
