As a former retail wine buyer, I have a particular love for cool wine labels. (And a loathing for lame ones….) So it was really great to interview Randall Grahm of California’s Bonny Doon Vineyard about the iconic and original labels adorning his wines.
The depth and breadth of art and artists is really fascinating. The winery website has a page dedicated to all the artists and labels for your perusal.
Find out Grahm’s early memories of wine labels, his epiphany concerning their design and message, pairing wines and artists, the relationship between what’s outside and inside the bottle, finding artists, surprising results of their creative work, and more.
