My New Favorite Way to Drink Rosé

pellehaut rosé What, you haven’t tried drinking rosé from a ceramic cup adorned with two bunnies in front of a pink background? We’ll get back to that, I promise. But first let’s talk about this rosé. I’ve kind of fallen in love with the Domaine de Pellehaut. Not only was it my Thanksgiving wine, but it’s my December wine as well. Even with sushi. I found it nice with salmon and a touch of pickled ginger. Now I’m very pro-Riesling when it comes to sushi, but if you remove the soy sauce from the equation, you can make a rosé work.

I actually really enjoyed drinking from this cup; it kept the rosé nice and cool. And with about 1,000 pieces of sushi on various table-engulfing platters, it was nice not to have to worry about knocking over a fragile wine glass with an accident-provoking stem.  I tried to keep a straight face, but by photo two I couldn’t help but crack up a bit.

What have you used for a wine glass in a pinch?

This particular bottle was provided as a sample by Vinum, though I’ve bought my share and see more in my future.
