I adore the Hofer Gruner and Zweigelt in the one-liter bottle-cap topped package. The rosé, though in a meager 750ml screwcapped bottle, is a joy. Super-austere, pale, dry, and elegant. I have more thoughts in tomorrow’s post on the Foodista blog. Tune in!
Hi Jameson!
So happy to see you’ve discovered rose Zweigelt. Definitely a treat and the Berger is a fantastic place to start because of it’s quality and the fact you get a whole liter at a time!
Have you had much experience with Austrian wines before? I’d definitely recommend testing out some other producers too – you’ll be surprised by the variation from region to region!
Constance,
I have guzzled my fair share of Austrian Gruner and Riesling. I’ve had a few reds here and there and this is my first rose. I adore the whites! The reds have been pretty fun as well.
I am so in love with the one-liter bottle, especially when sealed with a crown cap.
Thanks for stopping by!
Jameson

Hope all is well with you!
