NBD, just hanging with my friend Sean as he gets prepared to pull some pork with an intimidating-looking cordless drill attachment. It’s time to talk BBQ again via my Wine Without Worry podcast. I’m smoking meats and drinking wine with my Portland (Oregon) pals, Sean Martin and Mary Cressler. They are a husband-and-wife duo with a passion for BBQ, always accompanied by some surprising wines. It’s an eye and palate-opening experience for a style of cooking that can be pigeonholed to favor over-the-top fare paired with brawny bottles of red. (Think sweetly sauced, heavily smoked ribs and high-octane Zinfandel.) Banish these thoughts!
So join me, Mary, Sean, and two rambunctious twin boys as we spend a leisurely (and windy) day sampling the wares that come off Sean’s one-ton behemoth smoker. Which just happens to often be parked in the driveway. (Check local real estate listings to see if you can move into the neighborhood.)
Here’s the show:

Can an enthusiastic young dude break my stoicism and get me to crack a smile? Hmm, tough task:
Mission accomplished:
