Went to lunch with my rep from TGIC at an Indian restaurant with a bevy of Argentine and Chilean wines (and one Spanish Garnacha thrown in for the hell of it). Really enjoyed the Montes Alpha Pinot and it was good with the mildly spicy cuisine. For about twenty bucks this is a pretty impressive Pinot, and it comes in one of those massive bottles that you must plant a tree to offset the carbon footprint. Regardless, it would make a great wine for the holidays. (Yeah, I’m talking about Thanksgiving through Christmas. People, I work in grocery; we’ve had Halloween candy for a week already!)
