Cellar Tracker
Have you seen this? I have been nerding it up on this site since this morning; you can find and click on all the wines you have in your cellar, and you get an estimated value of your cellar! I’m up to about 700 bucks, but don’t get any ideas about my 1996 Dal Forno [More]
Malbec
I must thank Argentina for getting people to drink Malbec; I have to admit it was a grape I was scared of at first. I am also hoping that now people (including me) are not afraid of Malbec that they will go to the source: Cahors! This region of France produces incredible Malbec, almost always [More]
Lusty Riojas

1999 Savigny les Beaune

Wait, make that three things: 3) I LOVE saying “Savigny”; I think it is such a pretty, elegant word. Sah-vih-knee! It sounds like the wines taste.
Smith & Hook
The 2003 Smith & Hook Cabernet Sauvignon is smokin’! It needs at least an hour to breathe and gives you a lot of Bordeaux-type qualities. What is really unusual about it is the region: the Santa Lucia Highlands. Mountain fruit! This is one for the cellar and it should retail for about 25 bucks. This [More]
